Reverend Dr. Liufau Vailea Saulala

Reverend Dr. Liufau V. Saulala was ordained as the first minister of the newly founded Tokaikolo Christian Fellowship on the 1st of January1981. His appointment as leader took place following the unexpected death of Reverend Koloi.

In February of 1980, one week after the establishing of Lavengamalie College- the newly-formed fellowship’s first school - Reverend Senituli ‘o e Lotu Koloi died and Liufau Vailea Saulala  was appointed by the Holy Spirit’s leading to be the next leader of the newly-established fellowship.

At the beginning of 1982, Reverend Saulala became the principal of Lavengamalie College, a position which he held for 24 years up until 2005. Under his Godly and wise leadership the church has grown to a membership of approximately 5000 with branch churches having been established throughout the Pacific Region –in Mainland USA, Australia and New Zealand, as well as in Hawaii, and American Samoa.

Reverend Liufau Saulala is also the Director of the Tokaikolo Education System –a school system comprised of more than 10 Kindergartens, primary, secondary and tertiary educational centres. In addition he is presently President of the Bible College of Tonga, Editor of the Ofa-ki-Tonga Christian newspaper and was Chairman of the Tonga Evangelical Union for several years. Reverend Saulala has been appointed for life to the position of President of the Tokaikolo Christian Church subject to his continuing to live in a manner worthy of the Gospel.
